Although the Beach Boys are often dismissed as "just a 60's surf band", there are many levels to their music. The main reason for this is the genius of Brian Wilson. If you don't believe this, take a listen to Good Vibrations or Wouldn't It Be Nice, and compare them to the Wilsonless (and toothless) Kokomo.

Over 30 years ago, Brian Wilson walked away from the Beach Boys and descended into madness and drug addiction after the group -- which included his two brothers and a cousin -- voted down his album Smile.

So distraught was Wilson over the rejection of his "teenage symphony to God" -- his musical answer to the Beatles' Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band -- that he disposed of the numerous takes he had made. Or so he claims.

Brian's music and the stories of creating that music continue to inspire the Weasels to this day, as lessons learned from Brian find their way into every recording we make.
