Lock up the henhouse folks, because The Weasels are back!

After a year long hiatus due to relocations, temporary insanity, broken bones and a few other scheduling nightmares, the original Sealed Weasels, Paul French (Vocals & Guitar), Bill Kimberley (Bass & Keyboards) and Wally (Drums), have regrouped to bring you more of their unique sound.

Combining far reaching influences ranging from the Beatles to Rush to Led Zeppelin to the Ramones to Frank Zappa, Sealed Weasels call their unique sound Progressive Power Pop. This sound has indeed progressed a great deal in the past year, despite the fact that the band hadn't played together at all during that time.

"We were scattered across a large distance, geographically speaking," says Kimberley. "Pulling everything together was a logistical nightmare."

"Every time we got one obstacle out of the way two more would jump up in its place," Adds French.

"My broken arm was another roadblock," says Wally. "I was out of commission for a few months and I don't have the patience to play with my feet."

With all this in mind, the band members decided to take a break. When they finally reconvened in June, a pleasant surprise awaited them.

"It was like we'd never stopped playing together," notes Kimberley.

"We were refreshed," adds French, "We found the old grooves easily, but there was something new going on."

"We're playing together better than we ever have, which is really something, considering the amount of time we've played together." says Kimberley indicating the formative years the trio spent as Rhubarb Sandwich and the 3 Piece Charlie Band.

"We just got better at listening to each other," French explains. "We know where and what the others are going to play next."

The newly revitalized sound has inspired new songs like the sparse melodic "Relativity" as well as bringing back old favourites like "Cold Turkey Sandwiches".

"We're glad now that we didn't record some of these songs last year," says a relieved Kimberley. "The sound has changed so much, and we've made so many adjustments to the arrangements that we wouldn't have been able to listen to the recordings now."

With everything falling in to place and no other band member on the disabled list, The Sealed Weasels are now starting to work on their Debut CD, a follow up to last year's well received CD Single, Bionic.
